Parting is Such...I love you as the sea loves the sky. So often separated, they met in the midst of a storm, coming together on the edge of vision in a whirling clash of passion, as lovers might unite at the beginning of time. Since that fateful night they pine, cruelly confined, but when the sea rises into clouds they brush, soft and caressing, and the sky responds in whispers and murmurs of a soul's longing, then cries. The TortureWhen she awoke, an intense pain from her forehead rushed into her mind. It was cold, and damp...and Eien realized that she was nude. As she rolled onto her side and pushed herself off the ground, she looked about the small room. It was dark, save a dim light in the corner by a firmly locked gate. It was more of a cave than a normal prison, there was dirt and grime, as well as the waste left over by the rats that previously lived there. She knew this room had cut off her control of mana, so as she searched for a dry spot, Eien also kept her eyes open for anything to be used as a lock pick or crowbar. Into the AbyssThe next morning came early. Tears staining her face, Eien opened her eyes to the same darkness. Hunger plagued her, but the most pain was within her mind. How could he do these things? What had happened to change Kilik so drastically? She breathed deep, and began to sob. Now it seemed to be so long ago…the light streaking through the swishing branches, the quiet lake, and nobody around to intrude upon their peace. She had no one, and had once dreaded being alone.
